Interesting news. Thanks for this.

What is odd about the recent memoir news is that it frames the whole thing as a straight memoir (ie a written work) which I understood to not be the desired scope - as mentioned by Mike D.

Productions such as these, if they materialise, and are related to the memoir process, are much more integrated and innovative approaches. A band with such a rich recorded history distilled down into words on a page always seemed a bit odd to me, so if this type of media precipitates a more rounded 'memoir' (or even if it doesn't) then it would be welcomed.

Apparently they tried that approach, according to Adam in the CoS interview:

He and Mike D are continuing to work on a memoir, but admits it’s still a ways off:

“My big idea was to have our friends tell the story. And just, you know, we would sort of interject. My best friends have been my best friends since I was a little kid, so they’ve seen everything. And then we started reading it back, and it was really bad. So I was just like,’Me and Mike need to write it, because, you know—no offense to Morrissey’s friends, but you’d rather read what Morrissey is saying than what Morrissey’s friends are saying.'”
