Relegated to the dusty bins of Yahoo and rising from the ashes of network television is Community.
If you are like me and just sort of forgot about this show, do yourself a favor and binge watch Season 6. (Commercial Free!)
I wasn't prepared to find out the funniest sitcom on TV isn't on TV!

speaking of great shows that may be hidden from the obvious or cancelled way too early.
you need to check out:
Louie (Louis CK)
Legit (Jim Jefferies) - cancelled after two seasons
Maron (Marc Maron)
They were all on Netflix that last I checked. Fucking great shows created and starring ace stand up comedians. Really dark and weird and hilarious and shockingly very poignant at times.
Bill Burr will be having an animated show debuting in December. F is for Family. can't wait.
All four of these guys are great angry comedians.

i liked louie a lot at first, but i kind of fell off in the middle of season 4
i feel like a lot of the episodes/plot arcs are about him trying to find love, but his character is such a gross fuckup that i find myself not rooting for him and it takes me out of the show
i dunno, i keep meaning to get back into it but then i don't

season 5 was great. you're NOT suppose to root for him. you're suppose to despise his loseriness. but at the same time relate to him.
the show has progressed into a much darker depressing feel, abandoning the absurdity as the seasons go on. but in a totally good way. like... HOW THE FUCK IS THIS ON TV! because he's not trying to make you feel good. I've never seen such a dark/odd/absurd show that's trying to be a sitcom. he has total and utter freedom to do what he wants.
the diarrhea song in season 5 is reason enough to keep watching.
I think my favorite show was when he want to china and then there was a whole series of episodes about him in middle school stealing scales from school to pay for weed from douchey drug dealer. The cop episode in season 5 was the best of the season. at least watch that one. you can watch it as a single episode it has no connections to other episodes in it.

I watched Bill Burr's stand up concerts on netflix --I think because Patton Oswalt recommended them. Bill Burr and I have nothing in common but he made me laugh really hard.

I would put the Louis CK episode "In the Woods", the one where he finds his daughter smoking weed then he flashes back to his own youth, as the best episode of TV last year.
