Latest episode of The Brouhaha with Jeremy Shatan who chats about attending the first Beastie Boys show, turning down free LTI swag, taking the photo for Paul's Boutique, making mixtapes with Mike D, and whether or not he'd be willing to share with us an end-of-the-show treat.

This was really dope. I'm not sure I've ever heard another interview that gives as much insight into Mike D's musical background.

I always wondered at what point Mike learned to play drums, since he was just the "singer"/front man during the early hardcore days. I figured that he learned to play during the PB-CYH hiatus (I guess I always figured he was the frontman for Young Aboriginies also, never heard their stuff to know it was all instrumental). Interesting for sure!
Side note: I feel like if Jim is looking for new topics for the podcast, a history of the impact of the message boards would be a great episode. discuss the fact that it was one of the earliest music message boards and is still active today, crazy threads throughout the years, etc.
