My friend texted me and said "did u know that Beastie boys song 'mullet head' was about Joey buttafucco?" As long as I have been a bboy fan I have never heard that theory. Is there any truth to it?

Yeah, he's mentioned by name in the song along with Amy Fisher. I always took it as just that one verse being about Buttafuoco, as an example of the greater subject of the song: dudes who sport mullets.

They had a whole article about the mullet in Grand Royal mag too.
