Read the recent Guardian interview about how Yauch wanted to do or talked about doing a Beasties film similar to Who's "The Kids Are Alright" which would be sooo dope.

Adrock, Mike D, and/or anyone related to the band: please make that movie! ....."Beasties Boys Movie"!

And while you are at it make a "Beastie Boys Record". It could have all sorts of stuff : live tracks, alternative cuts, maybe unreleased songs.

You know, to go with the "Beastie Boys Book". ;)

i was thinking animation as well. a lot of the stories in the book would play great in a movie.

Replace? It would be all performance clips, interviews, photos, anecdotes, etc. of the original Beastie Boys. Doc style.

Speaking of Lego movie the the new trailer for Lego 2 features Intergalactic in a major way:

at first thought, this idea sounds moronic. however, imagine if they went swing with Yauch’s part and casted a completely left field talent to portray him, in a super meta way. a comedian for sure, similar to FFYRR treatment. i mean, the movie would obv be a comedy, so why not exploit the absurdity of the situation; it is the beastie way after all.

I was wishing Yauch's idea of making a documentary/rockumentary on Beasties came true.

But yeah a different film with portrayals of them would be interesting!

While on subject of different films wondering if they will ever release the Gala Event stuff on DVD or something related? Would love to see pro shot from that tour.
