I've always thought there's a fine line between paying homage and jocking. While the Em album cover came off as a homage, this one comes off as jocking to me. It's just a little weird to me to see grown men playing dress up like the Beasties. Still, I won't hate on em too much. Not really my "thing" but they have some talent. It's very hard to put together music and video at that level.

This comes off as the opposite to me. Dude was definitely trying to recreate classic moments, use b-boy samples, give credit due. As far as I'm concerned, he doesn't have anything to sell or gain. It's a tribute, and I liked it.

Should be doing their own thing, with their own style, freedom etc. Take influence by all means, certainly pay homage - but the post above is apt...

He has some good tracks but this is not one of them (despite seeming well-intentioned). "Eh" for effort.
