Hi All,

I can't find any videos of Beastie Boys performances on SNL. I think they performed Sure Shot & Heart Attack Man from 1994 and 3 Mc´s & 1 DJ and Sabotage from 1998. I think Adrock also starred in some scenes with Will Farrell..Would love to see that again.

I got the 1994 performance on VHS and had a nice JVC that recorded in stereo, (nice SP video quality too). Somehow, 1/2 way thorough the episode my picture got wacked out so while I have the audio from Heart Attack Man, I don't have the video! That shit still burns me! I did get the sketch with Adrock if I remember right.

Anyways, I LOVE how Adrock took advantage of being live on air and cussed through Sure Shot. If you recorded it live, you got the unedited take before they could go back and sensor. So gangster.

Yeah you can hear what sounds like Mike try to sush over him a bit.
It's crazy that they did it because I thought SNL gave out crazy fines and banned artists who did that.

Ad Rock also flips off the camera during ricky's theme and then destroys his guitar after Heart Attack Man. One of my favourite performances of all time.

This appearance - the two performances - showcase and crystallize Beastie Boys at their peak - imho. This was everything to me as a kid(y)


As a representation of rock... punk energy mixed with the 'fuck you' of hip hop - one of the greatest of all time.
