I must be tripping because I don't see either mix (MMM or Cut Chemist) available on demand. All the shows I see on demand are from various hosts and are each 5 hours long or so. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong spot.

mike just has this love for them and it comes through in his beastie mixes. most of his mixes are always good but the beastie mixes just have this extra fucking punch to the face. thx for linking this

That is really interesting, if true. They still actively talk about the influence he had on them, when they were kids seeing him spin records uptown. But i guess talking about his influence on a podcast and shouting him out in a song are two very different things. (sort of at least.)
