Was curious... what was the original price of the Sounds of Science Anthology on vinyl when it was originally released?

Does anyone here recall the original price?

Per previous PootyTang thread, looks like $125

I was wondering this recently as well, although I'm almost positive it wasn't $125. I bought it brand new from a record store when it came out and I remember I had saved my money scooping ice cream for $4.15 an hour to buy it. I definitely wouldn't have spent $125 on it. I remember it being around $65 or $70 maybe?

According to some posts on this old news site (https://web.archive.org/web/20031118003439fw_/http://members.aol.com/adrock311/archive.html) (the bus stop!), it was meant to be sold for under $100 by the BBoys and CDNow were selling it between $112 - $127.

In June 2000 the Grand Royal store (https://web.archive.org/web/20010612214918/http://store.yahoo.com:80/grand-royal/beastieboys.html) sold the vinyl for $119.99.

Rasputin Music was selling it for $135.99 according to this advertisement (https://archive.org/details/BayGuardianbrug35-10/page/11/mode/2up?q=%22beastie+boys%22+%22sounds+of+science%22).

So I guess it depends on where you bought it from exactly.

edit: Here's the price on Amazon in 2001 (https://web.archive.org/web/20010815235155/http://www.amazon.com:80/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00004RDPJ/):
List Price: $141.98
Our Price: $134.88
You Save: $7.10 (5%)

In 2002 (https://web.archive.org/web/20020601221641/http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00004RDPJ/) that had changed to:
List Price: $124.98
Our Price: $118.73
You Save: $6.25 (5%)

Hey Taco Zip. Yeah I'm good. I'm still spending my days reading and researching music, and last year I made a printed fanzine: http://www.theshadowknows.com.au

How's things with you? I still have fond memories of listening to your remixes back in the day.

Good to hear man. All good here as well, doing really great!
Yeah, lots of great memories doing all the remixes back then. We had great times :)
Nice to see some of the people from back then are still active on the board. Hope they will keep it online for a couple more years :)

Will take a look at your writings btw!
