Caught a touch of background on this. In his sitdown with ?uestlove on QLS Supreme, Andre said he ran into Mike D while checking out at Erewhon in Venice Beach. Shortly thereafter, Carlos Niño (the bearded fellow in the second photo) also approached the fellas. Carlos soon invited Andre to his home studio to do some recording. Mike clearly received the invite as well, based on proximity to the interaction.
