Since the year 2000, I have had 4 girlfriends. That averages out to more like a new girlfriend every 2 years.

I guess that's probably using stats to be misleading since I'm overlooking the almost three years of being single and celibate or whatever. But still.

I think my life is so busy that trying to juggle three relationships would cause each one to suffer a little bit. Especially since things between Beth and Heather have been pretty strained for a while. It will be nice to get back to everyone getting along.

Finding my first poly girlfriend was not difficult. She was already poly and I was not. Here's the recap for any interested parties (http://www.beastieboys.com/bbs/showthread.php?p=1119839#post1119839).

It's not very hard to find polyamorous people (http://www.polymatchmaker.com). But, I, personally, feel like I've done as much Long Distance Relationship (LDR) stuff as I'd like to do. And so I'm into the women in my community. Activists and hippie types. And finding the polyamorous compatible among that constituent groups isn't super easy, but we'll manage I'm sure. The local community talks about polyamory a lot more than they otherwise would have now that I've written about it and discussed it openly with folks.

Yeah. Now that I'm so out and public about it, the whole hippie/activist community around here talks about me n Heather's life and whether it's right or not. Pretty good strategy, turns out. We can just start dating all the people who say they think it's pretty cool. But seriously, it took a LONG time to find any other poly girlfriends. And so my new girlfriend has been one of my closest friends for about 4 years. Every six months or so I would check in with her and tell her she should let me be a boyfriend of hers. Eventually the time was just right I guess and we hooked up and haven't looked back.
