I signed this forum a few minutes ago, tried to get one of my own avatars to be displayed but i couldn't put the link anywhere. I can only choose from those 11 avatars supported by the Beastie boys homepage.

Go here (http://www.beastieboys.com/bbs/profile.php?do=editavatar) and in the 'Custom Avatar' dialog, enter the URL of where your avatar is on the web in the 'Enter Avatar URL' text box. Also, make sure the avator isn't larger than 50 by 50 pixels, it's restricted.

i do see some sort of box under the already existing avatars but I can't write anything in it, I tried before...

could you let us know when it's fixed? I know afew people mentioned this before as well. Thanx Minton, I'm sure I'm not the only one who appreciates all the crap you've put up with and done for us in the last few months!

Yeah, I want to add my own custom avatar too. It's simply an option within the VB3 user options. In the admin area do the following.

Usergroups > Usergroup Manager > Registered Users > Can Upload Custom Avatars = yes

I believe that by default VB3 dissallows custom avatars. Guys, this is for administrators only. Doesn't apply to normal board members.

Ok -

You can upload avatars under 10k and 50x50.

You can also upload profile photos under 20k and 100x100.

Now it works, just need to find a picture to upload.
