Chris Carrabba, the lead singer of Emo band Dashboard Confessional, has been found dead in his LA home.

Carrabba, 28, is likely to have died by drowning in his own tears. Neighbours of the 28 year old were becoming increasingly worried about the singers health after he would strum his guitar in the street...whilst crying. Police were called to Carrabba's house after water was found to be rising up to the roof of Carrabba's house.

Dashboard Confessional, who pride themselves on their emo status, were set to visit a whole host of women's prisons in the next month as part of their "cry me a river scheme".

Friends of Carrabba were stunned by the news of his death. "He showed no signs of being as depressed as it has turned out." said Rivers Cuomo, lead singer of fellow emo rock band Weezer.

Carrabba leaves 4 cats and a comfort blanket.

dashboard confession? now that's a bad name for a band.. dashboard super deluxe would have been better..

They aren't my favorite band, But I do like them. I took the other side for shits and giggles anyway. Its actually pretty funny.

If I start a band, I'm gonna call it Padded Dashboard. Not that I like them at all, though "Vindicated" gets my female friends hot for me. And my first album would be God's Gift to Blondes and Prostitutes. Sorry I lost the address to my friend's "best things that have ever happened for blondes" website. That's on the list with domelights, beer bongs, etc
