why did i have to re-regisiter?

ive been a member of the board for several years,but post very rarely.when i went to post today i discovered i wasnt recognised.if i dont post do i get struck off? help me avoid similar problems in the future please

They recently deleted all those who hadn't logged on in the last 6 months.

The whole board has also been reset in the recent past - after which everyone needed to re-register. If you didn't sign up inbetween then and now, then that's another reason.
