Here is my brand new Intergalactic remix :)
A slightly laid back and wierd version which includes a new chorus which I actually sung in and processed with a vocoder :eek:
Hope you like this... I must admit... I'm quite proud of this one (for now).

Finally you have mixed something else besides Check it out, broadening your horizons benefited you. That Intergalactic remix is the best I have heard since that one on the single, its really that great! Why did you name it Crooning Tuxedo? I would of named that masterpiece Labrynth Faucet leaky remix, or would that be too long? You're really exploding on site Landos, keep the torch alive.

The reason it is called Crooning Tuxedo is because the re-recorded chorus I did is a kind of crooning club singer voice, but now sounds robotic due to being processed with a vocoder. These club singer type tend to wear a tux - well the one in my mind did anyway :D

my main sequencer host is FL Studio as I love it's piano roll and mixer which is great for programming and automating.
For sounds I will use plugins such as Battery for drums and a variety of soft synths such as Oddity for all them moogy, wierd and spacey sounds.

Luckily so far my remixes so far have each taken about two days (with healthy breaks for tired ears in between :)). That's not to say I'm a fast worker at all. When making my own stuff, it can take from weeks to years :eek:

mix itself is good(if i mean good it's means perfect).
which soft/hardware is in use by you?
i use amd 1.5 with reason 2.5,and one normal soundcard

That is Reason talk :D I use FL Studio. Reason is a great piece of kit, but I was introduced to FL first.
My vocals have a touch of reverb (original acappelle already has sufficient amount), some delay and compressed. Was aiming for a spacey feel. I'm happy with how they sit in the mix, thanks for your advice though ;)

oh, I use FL Studio, various VST plugin instruments (like Oddity), effects and a Edirol PCR30 midi controller. I use a SB Audigy card, which I plan on binning :D

FL and Orion was the beginning for me(i hate it,when i use to much effects and channels,exact vst or DX components ,my pc comes to fast at his limit
and tháts by 1,7 Ghz!!!) thats why i using reason,reason requeries not to much processor power,may be by trance tracks,with 6 channels at one time
and with good verb at all channels, synths and other effects.

I know what you mean about CPU pushing. I recently upgraded due to not being able to finish a track :( It's been okay so far :)

For the chorus, I sang it in a crooning sinatra style then I passed it through a vocoder. Don't ask why :D

awsome approach. the one thing i find pitty is that most of the remixes are basicly again in a hip hop sphere. I like the beats and melodys but I think the voices are not correct eq'ed. they mank mid and low freq's. layer youre snare drum. ah ok noticed the progress, there is a layered one.
nice chill vibes. but it needs also a nice warm ending and some more structure. voices are essential so i'l rate this 7/10.

Thanks, I agree about the balance of the vocals in the mix.. something I have been meaning to fix for over a year, since now I have a pair of decent monitors (was originally mixed on crappy headphones) :) The ending, I think is sufficient and is how I wanted it to be.
