During certain shows, like MOD or Power Shift or whatever, they have wristband giveaways. "Call right now! We're giving away wristbands!" I remember last year sometimes they had trivia questions and made a big deal out of it, and sometimes they just threw them away like they were going out of style.

hmmmm ... people usually only drop by MM when they're in town for something else. That's how they book all they're shit ... they figure out who's going to be in town when and get them in for interviews and whatnot ... I wonder if they're in TO for something else possibly ... hmmmm.

Ok, if you want a wristband to see the MMVAs, here's what you do:
1) Go down to MuchMusic on Sunday June 13 and be there by 10AM
2) Bring your ID to show you're 14+ and also a non-perishable food item

It's one wristband for person, so bring your buddies with their IDs and food bank items. (But, yo, not your whole block, ok? We all want to get in too ;) )
You might also be expected to "answer some MuchTrivia", whatever that means...

who's gunna be at muchmusic next Sunday? I will be there with my girlfriend before 10AM. Do you think there will be 1000s of ppl there? I would like to hook up with some of you guys so we could help eachother out! (holding place in line, doing coffee runs, etc.)

Actually, that's not a bad idea, whoever gets there first could save a spot in line. I mean, really, how many are there of us on the board who are going compared to how many people overall are going to be there?

I'm not really sure how we'd recognize each other, however. Should we wear fake moustaches? Have a system of clicks like in "The Longest Day"?

Worked last year when I wanted to see Disturbed at the MMVA's....hopefully it'll work out again this year...if not, I'll watch from my roof :D

Umm I'm like 30 and therefore am too old to be allowed anywhere near MM. Seriously guys, everyone but the roadies are under 25, shit you kids think Rick what's his name is old...I remember when he was Rick the Temp, he interviewed Rob Zombie and I think he may have shat in his temp shorts.
Anyway back on topic, I'm 5+hrs from T. and even though is the Beasties and I love em, that's 10 hrs drivin for a "maybe" wristband, then another 10 on the 20th. I know they're touring, so I'll just catch em in Montreal later on, that way, I don't have to endure an awards show with hundreds of screamin creamin kiddies for 3 hrs. But hey those who are going have a blast!I'll watch for yoy on the tube.

I had to pull an all-nighter, travel for two hours, wait in line for eight hours and then travel for two more hours. I'm exhausted, sunburnt and hungry... and very happy! I have a wristband!

What's also pretty cute was that when I was getting to know the people ahead and behind us, I would ask them who they wanted to see at the awards. They were all pretty ambivalent. But at the end of eight hours not only were we all buddies, but they were all demanding the main stage wristbands so they could see the Beasties too.
