Go to your User CP (http://www.beastieboys.com/bbs/usercp.php?) and you can edit it from there. You have three options. Firstly, use one we provide. Secondly, link to one (i.e. it must be on a server somewhere already) or finally, upload one to our server (50 x 50 pixels, or 10kb, whichever is smaller).

But where do you find all these other avatars? I know I'm clueless, that's why I said "as if I were a six year old."

people use image editors to create their own avatars. there's not much else to it.

Hey Proteus just choose a pic that you like and if its too big try to work on that with photoshop or similar.....
i can give you a fantastic avatar with my cat muzzle :D ... i dont know why but i feel that you will say no,mmmm... :)
