I don't have tickets (yet) but!

I'm going to drive down from New Jersey (southwet-ish, near Philly) to DC and wanted to know if anyone in the area wants to come down and try our luck for tickets? There are always ways to get into shows.

I'm planning on going by myself but am looking for a crazed partner from the area to do the drive with. PM or IM me if interested.

There will be no tickets available only Wristbands with your name on it. The only way ti get in is to find someone that has an extra ticket.

Adrock it ain't worth going down to D.C. unless you live in the area. To get into this show you need to be on a guest list. I have done this guest list type shows for Metallica Fillmore May 18 first show of the tour and Bowery Ballroom, Rolling Stones at Roseland Ballroom, and Foo FIghters Black Cat. Its not worth it unless you know someone that works for the band or has an extra ticket and I know that no one will have an extra ticket for this show. Metallica yes there were at each Fillmore show but not at Bowery Ballroom.

im not going to argue with you but the foo black cat show was so easy to get into. plus roseland is notoriously easy to get into as well.

It was not easy to get into the Acoustic set  I got in when they let the doors open and I saw both sets. Yes they let people in who waited outside after the acoustic set. I compared it just to seeing both sets, not just one set. Roseland for the Rolling Stones was impossible to get into. I had people offer me $5,000 before I entered the venue. (n) 9:30 Club is easy to get into as well but not this show.

Think about it this way son....

This country is run by money, everybody needs it and most people want it. If the venue is not completely sold out, they will want to make money selling the extra spots to fill the place up. Like I said in the post above, the philly radio station announced that the tix for the secrect show went on sale the same day as the show and after a few minutes they sold out. To fill up the venue they sold tickets at the door. I think there is a chance of getting in, HFS just doesnt want hundreds of non-winners showing up trying to buy tickets. THis is why they are stressing that you have to be on the list to get it.

The only way you would get in especially at 9:30 Club for this kind of show is if Beastie Boys had a Fan Club (metallica fan club help out locals at the bowery show who lived within a 15 block radius), someone has an extra spot and their guest didn't show up, or the tour manager will see a few people who came to the show with no spot on the list. For this show I doubt seriously that the tour manager will come out and see you cry.
