Well, Pitchfork has given TT5B's a "very good" rating(7.9/10). It is an emotional review by Brent DiCrescenzo. Brent announces this will be his last because he is retiring from the 'game'. He sounds particularly jaded during the process but has some glowing words for Beastie Boys and their body of work. Sounds like there was a lot of pressure on Brent for this one (perhaps exacerbated by Nasty Little Man's Steve Martin) and his frustration comes through. This may be the first review where an album release has 'forced' a respected Editor into retirement (although I think there were other issues unrelated to Nasty Little Man that led Brent to make this decision). I am sure many fans will resent the fact that the review makes you think more of the writer than the artist's contribution - but hey I think this is part of legacy of Lester Bangs' influenced music critics.
