DC - Just Got Tix thru Junkies HFS TV Contest

BB fans in DC area get ready for THURSDAY!!!!

First of all, got the new album last nite @ 12...love it - been listening non stop.

Before that, I got on the 11 o'clock news, while some reporter was live, holding up the sign (re 991 WHFS Contest - DC). Got yanked out the shot by the cameraman, but was long enough to be visible.

Listen at 7am manana for the stories on the Junkies, it's a crazy one, hee hee

Been a fan since LTI when I was 9 (wtf???) and remember sneakin to watch the video with my friend. We've all grown up since then, and they've gotten better with age.

Ill see you other crazy fans out there that got on TV, won tix, or the few that scored em online.

Congrats, donkey. I'm hoping to win tix still to help anyone here out who needs it. I've got uncanny luck with radio prizes going back to Q107 in the 80s. But I've never scored a HFS prize, prob cause I listen more to stations now that have fewer listeners willing to hit the fones but better prizes. We'll see. I don't think they (HFS) stream tho? That's a problem...

Q107! I also got me my $107 off them bastards! I used to win crap off them all day long. Movie premiere tix mostly. My greatest feat was this tho. I had just learned how to phreak together my two phone lines and create my own primitive 3-way calling device. Where I could talk to a friend and then ring a third party. I spent a great deal of that energy with a friend on calling Q107 and asking them to play songs they would never play (seemed funny, ok, still seems funny). One night we called Q107 out of the blue so I could ask them to play Metallica (you know, before that word was a synonym for 'incredible lamers'). Imagine my surprise when they answered saying I had won. "Uhhh, cool, what did I win again?" "$107!!". Great, great timing. I took that Q107 check and bought myself a fancy new Panasonic speakerphone to further my telephonic pursuits. It's in the attic still, somewhere...

I still have great luck winning radio prizes. You just have to shift to non-teen radio where the dialers are older and slower :) Just the other week I won a $150 Aveda spa package and $100 at a tavern downtown. Not bad for 30 seconds of dialing.

I taped Dave, gonna watch now real quick. I got tix online.
