No, it's not happening, and if you're not from philly, it doesn't concern you. But, here's an idea that I hope somehow gets back to the boys. When the tour comes to philly, how about a show at the tower theater where whey could play PB in it's entirety (A la Primus doing the Seas of Cheese) and a big arena show another night. Philly loves the B-Boys probably just as much as NYC, and true B-Boys fans would go nuts for something like this. The tower is a classic venue and would be perfect for something like this. How about it? Please?

I'm not sure how Pauls Boutique would sound live? It would be hard to reproduce that live i think.

...they could do LTI at the Spectrum again though with Public Enemy and Murphy's Law. If you aren't old enough to have caught that show you missed something classic. The Beasies were out of their friggin minds back then and that show also introduced me to a little known group at the time called Public Enemy! A Defining show in Hip-Hop history.

I've seen some great shows at the Tower but that would blow them all away. The EL would be one giant party train!

First I must say that Philly and NYC are the two best places to see the boys. I just experienced the DC crowd a 2nd time, have been to vegas as well as Ohio and none of these places compares to Philly or NYC. More people left the Camden show after the Beasties than the Long island show this weekend. I must say Philly has some hardcore fans!!

The tower is soooo small, they would sell that out in a heartbeat. At least go for the TLA. That venue is sweet, though still may be too small. If they did do a small venue, they would need to do more than one date. Because I always hesitate to buy tickets and I dont want them to sell out before I get to buy them!
Also...how kick ass would the song Paul's Revere be live! I've only seen them live twice, but neither time they did that song, and it makes me sad.

The TLA is way smaller than the Tower. I saw BB King at the Tower, and I almost dropped the 2G's to see the stones there (thanks to my girlfriend for not letting me and bringing me back to reality). As for the best places to see the a beasties show, NYC and Philly are different not because we are more hardcore it is because there are just MORE hardcore fans. They did Paul Revere the last time they were in Philly, 8-20-98. The crowd went nuts and did the first few verses while the Boys just sat back and relaxed. Check out the bootleg.

One of the best shows!!!! Hmmm. I was 14 at the time. Funny how time goes by so quickly. Remember seeing the S1W's for the 1st time thinking WTF? lol.... Murphy's Law-Crucial BBQ right?

i was blessed to catch them with Co Flow at the Electric Factory sneak show back in '98. the show was announced on y100 the day before it was held.

i immediately left my shitti-ass summer job at the time, woke up my friends, and we showed up at the EF. We were the first in line. we waited in line all day to get bracelets, which we had to wear for the next 24 hours until the show.

so as i was working the next day at the chemical plant, i had to hide it. and i had to make sure i wasn't getting any acid or titanium all over the damn thing. but it was all worth it.

i showed up early for the show. i went around back of the EF. and i vibed with El-P for a minute. those were his pre major-fame days. i shared in his appreciation of being able to open for the beastie boys.

needless to say, the show was great. they hit us with stuff off of hello nasty before anyone even knew how the record sounded.

memories.

Thanks......

I was at this show as well. I remember it being very exclusive but I forgot if I had to call the radio station, ticketmaster, or show up at the venue the day of the show to get my wristband.

Yo I went to that Hello Nasty promo show at the Electic Factory too. That shit was unbelieveable! That was back in a time where their shows were more complete with the instruments in the house. They should do a show at the Tower Theater and bring those damm instruments back and not with a limited session like their last tour. Better yet, play at LIve 8 Philly!
