So, now the BBoys have wrapped up what I'm callin their mini promotion tour. They just banged out a quickie tour, for promo purposes, to give some fans out there some treats, and to get the buzz goin to help sell the new album.
I saw the DC show, and have read most poeples comments about the various shows. Many people complained that the BBoys didn't play enough songs, that the set was too short, and that their city / area wasn't repped.
My 2 cents on it is this..
They were just playing a min promo tour, that's it. They have said they are having a real tour later this sumer and into the fall.. That will be the time to see them play for 2 hours, to hit all the major cities, and do a real big show. That wasnt the purpose of these shows, which was just to build some buzz.
It just breaks my heart to see all these fans out ther dissin the BBoys, for not living up to their expectations, when the BBoys were providing a real treat for us fans out there. I was just happy to see them , and yes I would have loved to see more, but at the same time, I cant complain, because I GOT TO SEE THEM...something that hasnt happened in 6 years.
so, let's not dwell on short sets, and lack of dates, but rather look forward to a full tour when they can do more songs, jam on instruments (hopefully), and provide us with vben more fun experiences.
Thanks for lettin me vent, was just something on my mind....MCA said it best : "tears running down my face cuz I love to do it" that sums it up I feel when they play live...they love to do it...
