The Beastie Boys rocked out at Jones Beach... However the fans that go to Tommy Hillfiger stadium sucked. It was probably one of the worst concerts i have ever been to... You all need to realize that there are good performers out there and the Beastie Boys are one of them. They still jam like they did from the very start, but i think those long islanders have something shoved up their bunghole... or something that made them stuck to their seats.... I should have went to the show in Philly... I heard the crowd went crazy for the beastie boys... Like THEY SHOULD HAVE. The Beastie Boys are a classic that will NEVER be forgotten. All of those one hit oneders that you stuck around for will be forgotten. L.I. disappointed me. Figure out who the good bands are and separate them from the performers who will never be forgotten and who have actually made an impact on music history. These are the people that all of your bands look up to and cite as having an impact on them. Have a great life listening to sucky music.
Beasties ROCK OUT WITH THEIR you know whats out.... Thanks for an awesome performance even though the crowd blew (and didn't even know the words to Licensed to Ill ~~)... Tommy ****** Hillfiger HAHA HAHA.

How can anyone not get out of their seats for the Beasties? Philly went berzerk, then left after they were done (me included). I read a review of the Feztival a few days later and it said that Boys rocked that jam more than anyone. I think Philly always gives the beasties much love and always appreciates them stopping in town to bring the Brouhaha. The Fez was a rock show too, but i'd say that 90% of the crowd went to the 9 hour show to see 50 minutes of the Beasties.

ROCK ROCK ROCK ROCK ROCK ROCK ROCK ROCK
you want some ROCK??
you'll get some ROCK.....just not from The Darkness...maybe some MOCK, but aye...they can suck all they want...i got some Jim Morrison to spice that ass up with, junior. The Darkness are just, i dunno, everything they aren't. It's too schticky...too too schticky.
And a nice, fluffy FUCK YOU to y'all out there rambling on with that,
"Oh...they're just like that because they know it's being serious about a joke that's serious...they're just FUN"
ok....i heard that shit too much and i'm like FUCK YOU they fuckin suck. Darkness what? Hmm?
I don't even need to care, but thanks for sharing your affinity for them at a Beastie Boys message board in the "General Beastie" topic......that's just asking for some dookie

I went to both shows and I can believe all those punk ass fans of music in NY didnt know the words to Paul Revere. Its a sad day when the Boys question NY fans as they did at the show. As far as the NJ/Philly fans, they kicked ass like they always have. Unfortunatly for them, the better Beasties preformance was in NY. The boys were electric on stage even though everyone in NY was just happy to see 9 other lame ass, we'll be forgotten in a year groups.

::fighting urge to turn this into a jersey vs. new york debate::
i would just like to take this opportunity to clarify that long island is most certainly NOT representative of the whole of new york state.

The 2 shows this past weekend arent by any means a measurement of who has the better fans. Anyone reading the Band lineup then saw the 13 year old girls could figure out they werent at either show to see the boys. I'll just leave it that Philly and NY have the best fans for live shows. Based on going to 10 Philly and NY concerts.

Yo, I went to the show in Philly and being a longtime hardcore beasties fan i was not surprised of how they rocked the house so hard... once they were done their encore I straight up bounced, this new s**t is just too corny. I'm not goin to a $50 concert to watch some english fairy expose his boney ass chest and scream like a girl. The Darkness is horrible... they made The Beastie Boys look like gods (not that hard). But if all you have to do now is sing like a girl to get on stage and make money I can kick my little brother in the balls and give him a microphone. Beasties are in their 30's and still makin the crowd jump! All chump ass fairy lovin posers out there get the hell out of the pit and let the true fans in!
P.S. - Yeah sure they might 4get the words but they've been messin up like that on tour for years! Maybe if you were a true fan you would know! It adds more to the show!

First off its paul revere not licensed to ill... second did you look at the other
bands there.....how could you expect the fans to be cool in the first place..
And yo step off Long Island punk.....I gave everyone a fair warning
that Jones beach concerts suck.....How could you expect people that
listen to bad music, to appreciate good music...

i think mca said something about people not remember the words or or something. they were a bit surprised and put off cause normally the fans go ape for the old stuff. i was way towards the back and singin along the whole time too. audience wise, it was a sad state of affairs.

Let's not generalize a New York Beastie fan base with the turnout for Long Island, Jones Beach! Beastie Boys = Great and - you think it would've been all the shit for them at JONES BEACH but... but couldn't stand hangin there. Hate to say it but that was a FESTIVAL in LONG ISLAND! (nothing against Robert Moses) Get us out of there! And whatever happened happened...we hung out in the water and laid on the beach until Cypress Hill. Thank God they came on BEFORE the Strokes and too bad The Darkness couldn't find it in their pathetic English glamorous grandious prodding preening selffucked ways to leave earlier... we were like "When will they say good night?" It wasn't a bad date but... you know? Now I hope I see the tour in NYC, no Darkness, no Strokes, etc. opening band picked only by the Beasties themselves! TFG.
p.s. they were ++++ as usual, sorry I had to bitch about DFP8.

OK lemme throw in my two pennies here. I've seen the Beasties 3 times now. Once at MSG, once at Nassau Coliseum, and this last time at Jones Beach.
My sole reason for going to this show was to see them ans Cypress Hill. Which funny enough, probably got the least of the crowd's approval. Reason being that it was a ROCK show and they are HIP-HOP acts.
For all of you that are saying "shame on you" to the Long Island fans, go again if/when they play at Nassau Coliseum, and all the people in the place are there to see them, it will be a totally different experience.

Damn i completely agree...THE CROWD SUCKED...i was singing paul revere word for word and yelling it at the top of my lungs...everyone around me was just staring at me but hey FUCK YOU...The show was great hearing "open letter to NYC" for the first time live was the SHIT!! I was jumping on my seat and there were a few other people rocking out but besides that..the crowd was garbage...An MSG or Continental Arena show would be great!!! I would love to see them pick up their instruments though, but i'll take anything
