by the way this guy who wrote that review is so off. i was so pissed off by it i had to email him.

he compared this album to like 1986 beasties and meant that they aren't at all like they were back than and how bad that was. and he completely skipped the fact that all the albums up until 99 have gotten great reviews and are overall good.

that's what's so bad about critics. if they don't like it, they gonna diss it totally and turn everything into a bad thing even if that really isn't what they feel about it. to make it more interesting to read for others that's their duty.

and stupidly enough he mentioned rappers that have brought good hip-hop this year..and yeah he mentioned talib kweli. very stupid move there. if he mentioned talib kweli in 2000 when he released train of thought i would have showed a bit more sympathy for him but he probably just discovered kweli this year when he became more commercial - and that last album of his isn't even close to his first to, plus blackstar album.

and he also STUPIDLY enough mentioned that the beasties didn't choose to have anyone else produce the album such as someone well known as neptunes and just blaze. funny thing is that the most known remix for the new track is produced by just blaze..so that was too a poor name to choose of producers.

so yeah, that guy has no idea what he's talking about.
