Greetings, everyone -

We are hosting a great party for a women's health project in Tibet. (See below for more details on the project). It is going to be a fundraising party, so all proceeds will go to the project. It's going to be held at Marquee, a fly new club.

Party info:

Charka Party
Wednesday, July 7th
8-11pm
at Marquee, 289 10th Avenue (bw 26th and 27th)
$20 donation
2 for 1 drink specials

Not only will this be a bumping party, but it will directly help save the lives of women and girls in Tibet!

Spread the word.

Peace,

Sarah

Women in Tibet are in dire need of basic women's healthcare services. Tibetan girls and women are dying in childbirth at a rate ten times higher than ethnic Chinese living in the same region. Ninety-nine percent of these deaths are preventable. They do not seek medical attention due to numerous factors such as abject poverty, language barriers and lack of access.

Circle of Health International (COHI) is a not-for-profit organization that works with women in conflict-affected populations. COHI is one of the first humanitarian organizations allowed access into Tibet to train local midwives in basic reproductive healthcare.
