(lb) Fresh and new. "Lady Madonna," plus "So Whatcha Want" with a smattering of hip-hop samples, movie samples, William S Burroughs and two classic, organic drum breaks. The first in a series of "Beastle" boots. Acid 4.0.

Feedback is appreciated!

If you like, there is more (including an Intergalactic boot) at www.djbc.net/mashes

Damn that's hot, you sound like you should have albums. Was any of that downloaded loops or did you sample everything yourself?

THanks folks, great to hear those props! You're right... I should have albums! :o

Let's, see, of course of beatles is from the CD, beasties pella ripped from the DVD, High Fidelity sample ripped from the DVD, Wm Burroughs ripped from a CD of his readings, other samples are from a Bob Dylan record, a James Brown record, P.E., and the 2 drum loops came from breakbeats records, and couple other things. I don't really do the loops downloads but I do use DJ breaks records sometimes.

I have been gathering samples for years (used to do this type of thing on a 4-track) so I have a nice backlog to work with!

Hey, no rule against us BOTH using that song! But luckily, the Beatles were prolific, so there are many options.

Well my friends and I were gonna make a rap album about getting lost in the midwest and hooking up with this black trucker. And then like pulling some big heist. Maybe you can lend us the beat.

This is hotness. No kidding. If I had to say anything, I'd like to hear a better balance of the drums and the piano loop... I think the drums come across a little overpowering compared to the piano sometimes. But, that's a small complaint...

Awesome as hell, dude.

Thanks, sir- your kind words really do make my evening, after a long day Djing a wedding...

And thanks for the tip re: volume on the drums vs piano. I was thinking that very thing myself upon repeated listenings on "good speakers." Check back in a day or two, I'm going to make a few revisions to it tomorrow I think. Some of the vocal samples need to be tweaked a bit too.

You dudes are far too kind! Thank you so much!! The fact that people are actually listening to these is very flattering.

Beastles Mash numero 2 is in the works... Shake Your Rump vs Mother Nature's Son. As you may have guessed, it's taking some doing to mash those two. I will keep you posted, of course. I may just delay the "release" for a couple weeks as traffic on my server is getting pretty hot!
:o

Rock on and on and on and on and on!

Cool stuff. I must say though, I was a little disappointed the break at the end didn't make more appearances (if you isolate the right channel, you get that sick drum sound). Still a cool mix though...

Word!
