I was there and can't find enuff words to describe the best 20 minutes or so of my life (well except for 20 minutes with my wife but thats a different thread i think)
Of course Mix Master Mike warmed the crowd up and then brought the Boys in with Intergalactic... from there its all an adrenalin, b-boy junkie blur but the set contained (and not necessarily in this order and maybe not complete, I was just too damn excited to remember):
Intergalactic
Time to Get Ill
Paul Revere
So Whatcya Want
Sure Shot
3 MC's and 1 DJ
Brass Monkey
Triple Trouble
Ch-check it out
They rocked the house even though the house was full of kids that had no idea what they were witnessing. My wife, my best friend and I were going crazy and everyone around us was lookin at us and the B-boys like we were from another planet. The B-boys brought it and for the time alotted they knocked it out. No other act there came remotely close.
Still awestruck.... J

you lucky duck...
the last time i saw the b-boys was at Coachella last year and i had a big ol' argument with someone on the Coachella message board who said they sucked...maybe it's a personal bias but everytime i've seen them they have rocked the house and that includes Coachella...my brother saw them at the Weenie Roast and he said they brought the house down...(sigh) I hope there's a tour in support of the album...please? :o

If thats the setlist, wow. Intergalactic first, is a first! 3 songs from Licensed To Ill for a short set is great. See what happens when the boys play at a rap/hip hop festival, something interesting.
Heres an interesting thought......

I went and I'm still trying to recover!!!! Let's just say I have a bEaStiE hAngOveR and feel so lucky to have been there. Bought tix almost last minute and it said that the seats had 'limited view'. That was a misnomer to say the least! I was around almost the back of the stage in the front row where they walked out from and I lost my absolute mind! I had the same experience as the aforementioned, everyone around me was completely without a clue and I was shakin my ass like a maniac and chiming in with every last lyric! I don't know what to really report, it was just a booty shakin' good time! They sported the whole UPS man look with the uberstylish brown outfits! I'm still in awe.... :D
Oh and you betcha I'd be all over that world tour... any wind of a Strictly Beastie TT5B tour yet?

it was awesome to see them again...can't wait for a real headlining tour, so they can really play the beastie boy way...
beacuse it wasn't their best stuff- they sounded rushed, may have something to do with them playing in the middle!!! how do they not have top billing on this event? and only have 30 min...
(just a little mad about this)

its hard to put them as the headliner when they sign on for the show after it was announced.

Son of a bitch! I really wanted to go but couldn't *grrr* I swear, if they are touring within a 100 mile radius of my place I am so freakin' there. Screw work, some things are worth getting fired for. That and I hate my job, whatever.

Man, they got no love in the paper (O.C. Register) today. 'Course the Register's review (If I can even call it that) of TT5B was a complete joke. Dammit, I should write their stuff, even with my pathetic command of grammar and what have you I would at least attempt to listen to the album more than once.

Sorry I didn't have a notebook with me to jot down notes and specific details... the aforementioned setlist is about like I remembered it. I was too busy just enjoying the moment, a bit of nirvana have you will. This link may give y'all a glimpse of what went down that night (if ya haven't seen this already)
