Hi! I'm New this is actually my first thread(All Clap for me!!) I've been to other threads like this such as afi's. I find it similar yet very different. All these people that hate the new album shouldn't there threads be closed? If so do I help close them or do the people who run this do it or what ever thank you!!! :)

i have no idea how to answer your question, but welcome! i'm somewhat new myself. as for the BB haters, i think they are entitled to an opinion if they can handle the backlash. however, this is a site for fans and they should be aware of that, huh?

People are allowed to express their opinions...to a point.

The best way to deal with the negative threads is to ignore them. People can say they don't like the album and still be fans. There were a few albums that the band put out prior to this one. So no, we aren't closing the threads. It's not full on free speech here but it's pretty close and we aren't that heavy handed in these forums.

If someone is being a full on fucknut and spouting hate about the band then that's a different story.

Daisy, what about "Who is your favorite Beastie Boy" threads? there are hundreds of 'em.
can we have a "sticky" "who(or what) is your favorite Beastie Boy(or album)?" this may cut down alot of the same threads over and over.

I defer to minton and tpk, but I am going to move this into the beastieboys.com forum so they will see this for sure.

Minton and tpk handle the set-up of the board. I am their bitch for moving posts and answering simple questions and harassing buttheads. :)

well anyway. i don't think we can do anything about "who's your favorite b-boy" etc threads. we did a faq to avoid some questions but as far as i'm concerned we can't put that question in the faq.

anyway i think most of us want the board to be as "free" as possible. everyone should be allowed to post whatever they want as long as it's related to the forum. i've been to other forums where they have like a signle rule for every little damn thing and really have to make up "plans" to start up a topic there.
