Can someone tell me how to make brownies. i can never get them right.

well it depends what you mean by 'right', as there are people who like a drier, more cake-like brownie, and those who prefer something gooier. And of course, there is the whole nuts vs. no nuts debate.

If you tell me a bit more about what your personal preference is, I'll try to help.

I like them with walnuts. I can make them from a box, my problem is if i try to make them from scratch they come out with no taste and more like a cake then brownies. TIA

OK. In order to get really thick, moist brwnies you have to be really, really unafraid of stuff like fat and cholesterol. (Obviously in general you don't want loads of that stuff in your diet, but a little bit now and again won't kill you.) In other words, you need to use a fair amount of oil, and a bunch of eggs as well. Good quality chocolate is a must as well.

I'll have a hunt around later to find my full recipe - I'm at work now so it will have to wait until I get home but I'll see what I can do.
