I don't particularly 'love' the latest album, and judging by the sales in Australia, their are alot of Beastie boys fans that agree with me. As such, I am wondering if the Beastie boys would modify their playlist according to the popularity of their new stuff. For example: Metallica played very little St Anger when they were out here because the fans didn't really like it. The Offspring played very little splinter for the same reason. I'm asking because most of their songs that i really love haven't been on their setlist for a while, and I want to know when was the last time you guys heard these ones live:
1. Hey Ladies
2. Shadrach
3. Alive
4. Egg Man
5. Sounds of science (not likely but still)
6. Johnny Ryall
7. Sabotage
8. Slow and Low
9. Super Disco Breakin
10.Rhymin and stealin
None of them are on current setlists, and all of them are in my top 12

They could a Medley of the older shit and hack out the questionable(!) material. Or maybe I'm not giving them enough credit. They fuckin' know a crowd of fans would flip if they dropped Rhymin and Stealin or Shadrach.

Egg Man
Sabotage
The Beasties are only doing all Hip Hop sets so those two songs are out. If you look at the recent concerts they play most of their hits and throw in a few lesser-known songs that the average fan probably not familiar with.
Hopefully when the new tour starts they will mixup alot of the old material from all of their old albums with the new.

They've only been doin short 45 minute all hip hop promotional shows up til now (recently that is). I hope they break out the instruments for the full on shows otherwise its no Sabotage, Gratitude, Time for Livin' etc etc. Why dont they play Jimmy James these days? The song rocks & its a hip hop song so would fit in with their hip hop only sets.

Surely they could bust out the guitars for their Australian tour, i mean gratitude, sabotage and fight for your right would go off as an encore.

Yeah as the guy said above they wont play egg raid unless they have their instruments, which is unlikely, but i'm hopefull.
And to TPK, whats up with them not playing hey ladies or johnny ryall, or even shadrach. They are three awesome songs, and hey ladies was a fairly big hit as a recall it got to like number 30 in the US charts or something and shadrach went even higher. Where did "check it out" get to? I'll tell you where it peaked here in Australia, number 15 on the urban chart, and something like 80 overall. Didn't even crack the major radio stations like intergalactic or body movin did. Doesn't that say something. That Hey ladies, and all their other stuff, is a 100 times more liked song than check it out and their new stuff. And that the beastie boys have lost touch with their true roots :( Hip hop/rap in Australia has gone out of fashion and is now left to kids under 12. The beastie boys should realise this and play their old hip hop and their rock.

Huh, when i mean gone out of fashion, i meant with older age groups. Hip hop in general is more popular than ever. Whos the fashion victim?? I'd say its the little kids who are listening to 50 cent and eminem rapping about murder and drugs.

I'd love it regardless of fashion, and as long as I'm able...I'm in an older age group.

Hey Ladies has been played live. Just not in a long time. They still play Slow and Low and Rhymin' and Stealin' off LTI pretty frequently. Beastiemania.com has pretty comprehensive set-lists in the gigography section.
