You know something? Not everyone that comes on this board floats around day to day, living life casually, with our heads in the clouds. I work for a living!
I thought today's release of tour dates would have given me ample of time to let the boss know what days I would have needed off to TRAVEL north or around my own state to see my favorite band. Well, I have known for the past week they were going to play the Voodoo Fest, and I didn't even gather that info from this sight.
This is a fan sight that you have to wait to get info from. Other sights have info posted before the own bands website.
I am going to get off might all mighty soap box because I do like some of the people that come in here, and I do get a good laugh from alot of the post. I just wish Beastie Boys dot COM would get on the ball for a change.

Dates are announced on BeastieBoys.com when they are CONFIRMED, not when it's just an idea in some promoter's head. The Voodoofest show was not finally confirmed until late last night, no matter what other sites say. We also cannot release even confirmed dates until the band says we can. We were not allowed to release these particular dates until 8am PST this morning, per the band, management, and booking agent.
You don't have to sit on Beastieboys.com 24-7 to get info. Just sign up on the mailing list, and we'll deliver important info to your doorstep when it's announced. A blast is scheduled to go out later today with all the important presale info, etc.
A month and a half notice for a show is about as good as it gets with tourdates, so not sure exactly what you expect.

Well there will be. I agree, it's kind of unusual and annyoing to confirm dates this way. But we don't have control over it, so... not much we can do. Wish we could. I'd like for us to be able to list 20-30 dates at once.

If you can only do 3 at a time. Please list the Chicago, Milwaukee and St. Louis dates next. ;)
