Alright, you ready for some serious happiness?

Ingredients:
1/2 lbs peppered bacon, diced
2 Tbspn chopped green onion
2 tspn minced garlic
1 (14.5 oz.) can diced tomatoes
1 tspn dried basil
1 teaspoon salt
Ground black pepper to taste
1 (16 oz.) pkg. linguine pasta
3 Tbspn grated parmesan cheese

1. Place bacon in large, deep pan. Cook over med.-high heat til enenly brown. Drain, reserving drippings, and set aside.
2. Saute green onion and garlic in bacon drippings over med. heat for one minute. Stir in tomatoes, basil, salt and ground black pepper; simmer for five minutes.
3. Meanwhile, bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 - 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.
4. Toss hot pasta with sauce and sprinkle with parmesan.
5. Enjoy with a nice shiraz. mmm.

i love it when new people come in and just randomly make one of their first few posts some random yet exciting looking recipie!

rock on! it looks really good! (and i dont really go for bacon)
