it is not a album that you can get at a normal store. it is a mixtape. if you are not familiar with mixtapes, google it. the only way to get it is either from mom/pop record stores locally (check you hip hop specialty shops) or order online via the website. available now.

Basically these mixtapes all come on cd format and are so cheap due to the fact they are on burned cd's that are printed up rather than proper record store releases.
They can do it legally by specifying that you are buying the artwork (cd cover) and a sticker or sumthin and they will give you the cd as apromo item that obviously works.
they perfectly fine and all the mixtapes I have work great. (y)

Just Copped it. Sounds ILL 4 ReaL.
FOr the record they gave him acapellas of Open LETTER to NYC & Rhyme The Rhyme Well & Shadrach & Barrel of A Gun - Damnit.
The Open Letter is remixed over Still #1 by KRS one. And Rhyme The Rhyme Well is remixed over a Notorious BIG beat I can't remember right this minute. There is also a tight remake of Paul Revere feat Busta Rhymes & Labba. Also the So Watcha Want remix is ILL, its a Remix over G-UNIT - What Up Gangsta.
Damn shit is hot. Go get it.
I can't wait to get my order....but I will probably have to since I picked the cheapest possible shipping method!
Found some other good stuff on there too, but no hats.

I got it at turntable lab in NYC today. Its pretty tight. there are some places where it seems a little off. Lots of gunshots other rappers saying "bitch" and shit, which Im not really down with. THe Busta Rhymes take on Paul Revere is pretty stupid - its all about dealing coke. The MOP version of No Sleep til Brooklyn is ok (was this on their album?). Well worth the 5 bucks I paid for it. But I would love to hear Cut Chemist or MMM give this a try.

Review From last post:
DJ GREEN LANTERN & BEASTIE BOYS - NEW YORK STATE of MIND
When you think of white MC‘s, most think of EMINEM, but the true essence of white boy HIP HOP has an origin that severely predates the esteemed MARSHALL MATHERS. THE BEASTIE BOYS are generally considered a rock group or a hybrid like that of LINKIN PARK, but long before the RAP ROCK confusion became popular, THE BEASTIES were on tour with the likes of RUN DMC and LL. "NEW YORK STATE of MIND" is a dedication to their place of birth, just as their last studio album was. "TO THE 5 BOROUGHS" was for the world. "NEW YORK STATE of MIND" is for the streets! Through all the political hoopla that THE BEASTIES are usually involved in these days, people have forgotten tracks like "HOLD IT NOW" brilliantly remixed by GREEN LANTERN. If LL is to be congratulated for remaining current, then the BEASTIES should be applauded for remaining true to the old school, yet relevant to old and new fans. When you think of "WHITE LINES" the classic, you don’t picture the trio, but "TRIPLE THREAT" will change your vision! "What the Helen of Troy is that?" That’s GREEN LANTERN lacing "HEY LADIES" with a classic from this era by the one and only NOTORIOUS B.I.G. Does anyone remember KRS ONE live or his unforgettable boast of being number one? With an "OPEN LETTER TO NEW YORK", GREEN LANTERN and THE BEASTIES won’t allow you to forget. This song is a homage to old school HIP HOP, because GREEN changes the beat on three different occasions. There were some disappointments, but they were brief. "PAUL REVERE ’04" was unimpressive, but if their was a standout moment on this track, it was when the boy GREEN decided to grace the mic! Yes, I said GREEN LANTERN blesses the mic and he doesn’t use that fucking chamber that makes his voice sound 10 octaves deeper. "RHYME THE RHYME WELL" and BIGGIE’s "I GOT A STORY TO TELL" seem as though they were made for one another. If there is any complaint that could be made about "NEW YORK STATE of MIND", it would be it’s length. At 20 tracks and only 18 of those being actual songs, it is definitely too short. With all the material the BEASTIES have, lets hope for a part 2. If you don’t have "NEW YORK STATE of MIND", your collection is seriously lacking! After your first listen you’ll truly understand why GREEN LANTERN is the hottest mixtape DJ in the game. We’re running out of room GREEN. How many classics do you have?

Heres MY review..take it or leave it
im gonna start out by saying that i downloaded it...and thats good...cuz i wouldnt have paid for that.....
now moving on....
these pretty much were all mashups...which pretty much anyone with any idea of tempo can do. i dont know y HE was givin the exclusive acapellas..... when clearly most of the remixers here could bust out a better mixtape than he did.... taco, uru, funky, skrilla, i would have paid for a mixtape by u guys.... but this lacks alot....
the rhyme the rhyme well was probly the best one, if OLTNYC had more verses (he cut off the middle) then it would have been pretty good.
hey ladies....wow....that was the worst remix of that i have ever heard.
and the Triple trouble mix....im sorry...u can like wat u like
but if i payed just 4 bucks for that... i would want my money back
there is my two cents....oh...and whoever started this thread...i believe is in affiliation with green lantern..since he just registered to advertise this
peace

ok, explain that.....do u mean that the oltnyc and rtrw acapellas are out there, we just have to put some effort into finding them? or do u mean that he (green lantern) had access to all of the beastie acapellas, he just chose those particular ones to 'remix'?

The censored versions are out for the public (but where? ). If Green Lantern had access to it, then they must be somewhere.

I ordered from the same site on the 16th and still have not gotten my order (9/7). I e-mailed them 3 times so far with no response. Has anyone gotten a CD from exclusivehiphop, or is it a scam? THe site is still there and keeps getting updated, so it looks pretty real, but you never know.

Mine took a few weeks too. While I really dig the mixes, I feel a little troubled that I was charged $10 for a CD whose label read: "For Promotional Use Only." WTF?
