other than the fact I shuld be in the air now on my way to Osaka for Saturdays show, I really don't want to see threads about the show anymore. Fuck being broke in South Eastern Asia, so close yet so far! (n)

Just came back from Osaka where I caught Beastie Boys. How were they? They fuckin' rocked. It was my first time to see them live and they didn't disappoint. They opened up with Sure Shot and played a mix of songs from Check Your Head (Pass the Mic,So Watcha Want), Ill Communication (Root Down, Flute Loop) Hello Nasty (Just a Test, Body Movin) and To The Five Boroughs (Triple Trouble, Right Right Now Now and An Open Letter to New York ) with Skillz to Pay the Billz, Shake Your Rump and Brass Monkey for good measure. Mike D actually missed his cue when they sung Paul Revere and they abandoned it about 30 seconds in. For an encore they did Intergalactic and Ch-ch-check it out. I wish I could tell you the order and they might have did some more songs but this is all I can remember. (y)

if they really played "just a test" that would be their first time performing it (?)
no surprises other than that

I dumped all the photos from the Summer Sonic site into Photoshop as a single image for those who can't bother with the Japanese site:

why do the Beasties persist on playing non-stop singles showdown...iits like they are promoting a greatest hits album or something, they better change up their setlist and add in some more interesting songs for their full tour...i find it hard to believe they think people want to hear the same songs they have been hearing for the last 15 years, and none of the other less frequently heard songs...it makes more sense for those early promo shows, and festival shows where people arent all big fans, but when they hit the stage as a headliner at a huge arena they better bring something more interesting than what they have been been doing since 2001...just my thoughts...
????????????????,,,, not truetrue, in the sense of what he was talking about.
as for just a test, yeah if it's been played we're talking about maybe once.

excellent points.........like i've said 10X already......if they're gonna do full rap show for 1.5 hrs they're gonna have to do some trax they haven't done in a while......i don't know why they haven't started practicing these trax at these other shows already..........

Jesus Christ, NOTHING off of Paul's Boutique? The B-boys need to play at least Shake Your Rump or Eggman. C'mon guys, if you're going to play your hits, at least be kind enough to include Paul's Boutique stuff.
I'd love to hear Shadrach with a bunch of new styled MMM beats and breaks thrown in. But I doubt it'll happen :(
