What's your favourite pie?

Is it a meal-pie or more of a desert-pie?

Mine would have to be apple pie (y)

Here's my problem with apple pie.

If I get full and I can't finish, there's a whole lot of applely goodness left that goes to waste. It almost makes me cry.

For dessert pie- apple and blueberry are my favorites
For a meal pie- my dad is french and we always eat pork pie on holidays...I think they call it tootsie-a...I don't know how you spell it but that's how they say it!

I LOVE cheddar cheese apple pie!!! It's probably my second favorite to pecan!

Here's a great recipe that I got a few months back...I think it was on the food network site...

3 lbs. Peeled, Cored and Sliced Apples

1 Tbls. Cinnamon

¾ cup Granulated Sugar

¼ cup Flour

pinch of Nutmeg

¾ lbs.Sharp Cheddar Cheese

½ cup apple cider (optional)

Combine all ingredients, except the cheese, in a bowl. Place mixture into a pie shell. Cut cheese into slices or chunks and place throughout the pie. Cover with a dough topping. Egg wash top of crust before baking. Bake at 350 degrees F for 55 to 60 minutes. When done, test apples with a sharp knife to see if they are as tender as you would prefer. . 2 minutes before the pie is removed from the oven, lay cheese strips across the top of the pie. Allow the cheese to melt slightly. Do Not over melt cheese on top.

Cool for 10 minutes and serve...mmmmmmmmm!

well your no fun (n)

i have never had the cheddar cheese in the pie itself, i have always had a slide or two on top. my gram makes some awesome pies, so any time we go to herplace for dinner, we get pie, and i love it.

for meal pies, i really enjoy a sheppards pie, nice hearty mixture below with a delicious cornmeal srust above...mmmm

ps: i almost had a pie party last year, and id still like to do it...

Almost all pies are highly luscious, but an exception would be rhubarb pie. I just don't get the rhubarb thing man.

My favorite type of pie is pizza pie.
