Ouch! That one hit me right in the booty! Made me want to dance up a storm from start to finish. I love it. Very similar to that "Alan Hankshaw" remix of Alive. One of my favorites thus far. How many samples you got in there? Play anything yourself? Let us know your approach. (y)

Thanks!
I used samples from "apache" by The Incredible bongo band for the beat (you probably heard it before) and as the main course I used "Senior Thump" by Alan Hawkshaw (http://www.vinylvulture.co.uk/pages/lounge4.htm). I discovered this guy trough a compilation called Exclusive blend (http://www.dustygroove.com/cgi-sys/cgiwrap/dga/search.cgi?usersrch=exclusive+blend&issearch=yes&GO.x=11&GO.y=9). You´ll find a lot of groove in there. (y)
When I heard the 2many dj´s version of "Alive" with a sample of Hawkshaw´s "beat me till i´m blue" I said damn someone has done it!
So I decided to go on it and i think it works well with the way the beasties flow.
I have a new mash up in my head, and also i´m thinking of a remix with my own creativity and no samples, let´s see what I can do
thanx again folks I´m glad you liked it :)

But I have to say this is not a proper mash up, I took samples of both songs, arranged them and then mix the whole thing with the vocals.
I suppose a mash up is when you just join two songs...
I used Soundforge to chop the samples and Acid to arrange everything

Call it a mix-mash-up then. They're all still remixes.
I have the Anthology DVD and you'd be hard pressed to find a remix on there that carries long musical samples/loops of other songs.... mostly original reworkings musically they are. But hey, that's another story in it's self. You still got a dope mix.

Totally agree,
a true artist remix for me is when everything comes musically from the remixer, no samples or not that recognizable.
I´m glad you like this mix-msh up :)

Why yes, that IS incredible.
Not only do you have skills with la música, but you also have a knack for titles.
Keep on jazzin' it up!

Don't be so hard on yourself, man. There are just some times when there's a groove so perfect for a track that tweaking it would only degrade it. It's a guilty pleasure but it sounds good. I mean, look at Root Down. It's Just Jimmy Smith's Root Down chopped up and sequenced.
