According to Beastiemania they played Ireland 4 times:
11 July 98 Big Day Out festival, Galway
10 Mar 95 Dublin RDS
9 Mar 95 Belfast Balmoral Hall
11 Jun 94 Dublin The Tivoli.

Not a lot of visits over 20+ years!!

I was there in 95 I remeber them being there (hearing it on the radio) I didn't see them though.

Was at the Belfast gig in 1995 - still one of the best gigs I was ever at - lovely crowd surfing and moshing - shook hands with a beastie who jumped in the crowd :D

Please come back to Ireland lads... How about Electric Picnic?

on the most recent tour I had to trek to Belgium to see them..in all fairness though it probably worked out as cheap as if they had of played Dublin in this ol rip off land of mine!

Never seen 'em at the other dates...
in 98 i think they came out in the Irish flag colours on their jump suits (as in one green, one white, one gold)

by airplane, coach and ferry... saw them seven times on that tour...

There's rumours of the beasties playing at this summers budrising on boards.ie from generally reliable sources. Anybody heard anything on this?

Yeah all that stuff posted on Beastiemania is in my safekeeping! :D And the other week I even found the olive pit that Yauch spat after show in Belfast.... :p

Here's hoping for an Irish date on the current european tour.

The who are playing marlay park in Dublin on the 29th of June, there's generally a few gigs in this venue in the one week during the summer so I'm sure the beasties could play there. Its a decent outdoor venue with a capacity of about 30,000.

playin ireland is long over due. expected them over after to the 5 came out but the closest was the uk.

them playin electric picnic wud b the best bet (well thats what im hopin for)

Was at the 95 show in the RDS....and I have just been at the gig in Sydney at Good Vibes, I sweated as much in the RDS in 95 as I did in the 35plus heat in Sydney last Saturday.

RDS SHOW WAS EPIC!

Really would love to see them play Ireland soon, but not till after Xmas please, I don't get back home till then!! :) :(
