I'm surprise the liberal media, welfare advocates, the NAACP, Jesse Jackson, fat people advocates, etc haven't blamed George W and Jeb Bush for this poor ladies fate:

I am sure if she had been able to get off the couch and vote she would have voted for Al Gore, but those nasty Republicans would have stolen her punch card ballot anyway.
The couch was probably made by a Halliburton subsidary using 3rd world non union labor.
If only she had lived in Canada, or Europe............

Liberals seem to gain from peoples problems because their the ones TRYING TO FUCKING SOLVE THEM. Racism, sexism, homophobia and the whole host of others have without fail been headed by Liberal/Progressive minded people.
valvano
08-18-2004, 11:49 AM
exactly,
they've got to keep racism going to stay in power...it doesn't matter if it actually takes place or not
they've got to accuse people of sexism and create issues to stay in power...
they've got to accuse people of being homophobes (heck, they even made the word up) to stay in power....

so it doesnt matter if the results of your actions totally blow up in your face, the fact that they are "trying" counts more than the actual results???
guess that explains the nearly 3 trillion we've spent on welfare/medicaid/etc since lbj , yet today we supposedly have more poor people, more sick people, more under-priveledged, etc than ever before.....
but, who cares if the great society has been a great failure, at least they tried..........

Maybe you've noticed the recent report that shows that the top wealthy cats in this country pay less taxes while the government debt goes up. And who does the government borrow money from now a days? The same people who got the tax breaks. Now, we tax payers pay the rich peoples interests via the governments borrowing. So the rich get richer off the government while the poor get poorer.
But, thank goodness we've passed a constitutional ban on gay marriage, abortion, and flag burning which helps all Americans. Opps, no we didn't. Well, it makes for good topics to sucker people to vote republican again for ideas they can't pass even while in complete power.
Slash slash slash social programs. Slash keeping people healthy. Stop keeping the environment clean. Stop it all. You'll be better off for it.

No you're the idiot for calling him an idiot for calling him an idiot.
Also, Enigman.. You can't ignore them all.

Sisko - if you call enigma an idiot for calling valvano an idiot, that would make you an idiot for calling him an idiot. Let's just be consistent. And that would make me an idiot for just calling you an idiot, so I'm just gonna end the cycle right here and call myself an idiot. What's the deal, are you Dick Cheney inside and GW is giving you a huge tax cut? Why do you like him so much?
edit: shit. assman beat me to pointing that obvious contradiction. Shit. :D

1) No, many people who don't vote have decided voting changes nothing.
2) No, but he clearly would like to...so screw him.

in virginia, you do not have to register to vote based on party affiliation..... i am not a member of any party, i just vote my feelings (or my frustrations)
but yes, i do feel if you don't vote, you really have no right to complain, i dont care if you vote for some left wing anarchist radical or some goose stepping skull crushing nazi, if you don't at least participate, you shouldnt complain.
i tried to vote for w in 2000 but i just couldnt bring myself to it. i voted for the natl taxpayors party candidate. i have been pleased with w's tax cuts and do agree that some of the people he has surrounding him are scary (ashcroft), and i do think iraq has become fucked up, i do wish the emphasis was more on afghanistan than iraq, but i do believe those wmds are somewhere over there, either still in iraq, or iran, or syria, or somewhere in the middle east.
like most of you kids, i was a dem loving idealists in college. but when i graduated (1990) and hit the real world and saw how much of my paycheck got eaten up by taxes, and just the general bullshit placed on life by govt intervention and govt regulation, it turned me. what churchill said is true, when you are you and not a liberal you have no heart, but as you get older and you dont become more conservative you have no brain...
the only difference between republicans and democrats is that dem loves to tax and spend, no apologies offered. republicans also love to tax and spend, they just pretend to feel guilty for it.
and just wish the govt would restrict itself back to the tasks but forth under the constitution, get itself off the backs of the population, and revert most of the federal crap back to the states. all the billions and billions that are taxed, sent to dc, filtered throught the bureaucrats, and divied back out to the states is a total waste. fire the bureaucrats and the let the states take care of things....

The Libertarian party IS an Anarchist party though isn't it?
That's what they advocate. The removal of the government. Perhaps I'm mistaken but it seems to be their ultimate goal.
valvano
08-19-2004, 08:17 AM
i may be wrong, but from what i understand, the libertarian party is more about restricting govt functions to those as defined in the constitution, and to a very strict nature. natl defense, currency, interstate commerce, etc. those types of things.
i do not agree with them on their drug policies and abortion, but they are very anti-tax, which more than overshadows the other two.
EN[i]GMA

That's the Constitution Party. Libertarians seem to generally want to do away with the Government. Eliminating taxes is a part of this obviously. Libertarians are either Anarchists or Minarchists (Who believe in very little Governement).
paulk
