I've been listening to all of your remix's and decided to give it a shot..
made with acid 4.0 (which im still learning how to use)..
I only used a few loops which came off the tribes low end theory. The beat flows better in some spots than in others.
I've been told its really hot and been told it blows.. so please listen to the ENTIRE remix. and any feed back is welcome.

well..as a beat its pretty solid ...
o until the second verse comes in..that transition was a bit off.
but the man thing is the raps don't mix with the beat at all...i mean theres a few times where they mix...but overall they're way off.
fix that and yer good.

Hey, I agree with that!
Just play your beat without the b-boys and rap over the beat yourself... That helps get the downbeat in your head.
You can't start your beat and your vocals at the same time (in this instants) because the downbeat comes in on Adrock saying, "laDIES" the part before that..."Hey la" comes in before the downbeat.
I hope this helps - keep mixing and you'll be a pro - its all about YOU!

what i did was i tried to make loop as long as a section of rhyme
eg.
hey ladies in the place im callin out to ya/ the never was a city kid truer and blue ahh
so i made the beat that length give or take.. as the boys change up the rhyme scheme a bit it doesn't flow.. and the transitions are poor.. but i thought it hit well in a few spots
man it sounds so good in my head.. someone make a better version for me.. the loops are off ATCQ - skypager..
thanks for the imput.

Right,
I start with a main beat (forget about transitions/bridges ect. for now...) sometimes you have to offset the vocal track and the breakbeat <- this can be hard if you don't leave enough space at the begining of your tracks. I.E. starting 2 tracks at the same time at "ZERO"
FIRST: All your breakbeats must be edited by 2's - which means 4 beats or Bars, 8 beats, 16 beats 32 and so on... I.E. ----Kick, Snare, Kick, Kick, Snare, Kick, Kick, Snare. <- that would be an example of 8. The next trick is to make sure your breakbeat is the right BPM with the vocals. (learn more in these forms...)
If you start your vocals with just Adrock... "Hey la" <- would be accapella (no backbeat yet) Then sync you back beat with the Kick or downbeat coming in on the letter "D" in "ladies in the place" you would be on your way!
Thats the best way I can explain it. My audio computer is down for the count, otherwise I would send you an example.
later...
