2. HOLD IT NOW, HIT IT - The 2nd verse has a beat that some current song uses, but a Big Daddy Kane/Q Tip/Busta Rhymes song called COME ON DOWN also used it back in 1991.

6. OPEN LETTER TO NY - Right after the 1st verse, the chorus is from Alicia Keys & Nas' STREETS OF NEW YORK. Then, the 2nd verse's beat is from Eric B & Rakim's ERIC B IS PRESIDENT.

11. SURESHOT - 1st verse: Freeway's FLIPSIDE 2nd verse: N.O.R.E.'s NOTHIN' 3rd verse: Grand Puba's 360 DEGRESS (WHAT GOES AROUND)

12. BODY MOVIN' - 1st verse: Poor Righteous Teachers' ROCK DIS FUNKY JOINT 2nd verse: Special Ed's I GOT IT MADE 3rd verse: Gang Starr's DWYCK

17. REDMAN INTERLUDE - instrumental part of Beasties' NEW STYLE after Ad Rock's "Hmmmm drop". This same interlude can be found on Redman's 1998 album DOC'S DA NAME 2000. It is track #20 BEET DROP.

18. INTERGALACTIC - The 1st & 2nd verses' drum beat sounds a lot like what was used on Neptunes/Busta Rhymes' LIGHT YOUR ASS ON FIRE & then the sounds of ESG's UFO were thrown on top of it. The 3rd verse's beat has been used on several songs like Grandmaster Flash's FREEDOM & Boogie Down Production's YOU MUST LEARN.

19. ROOT DOWN - The last verse uses Run Dmc's PETER PIPER.

For the most part, I liked the beats Green Lantern chose. Very clever that he used Notorious BIG's I GOT A STORY TO TELL for RHYME THE RHYME WELL since Ad Rock begins with "I got a story to tell". I also liked the Jay Z beat he used for LOOKING DOWN THE BARREL OF A GUN & adding BIG in it was the cherry on the sundae! I just think Lantern could have done a lot more with SHAKE YOUR RUMP, HEY LADIES, & especially PASS THE MIC. I was also VERY disappointed that SHADRACH only got 34 seconds?!? Another clever thing that the evil genius Green Lantern did, which made up for it, was: when Mike D says "For those about to rock, we salute you" (which is a reference to the ACDC song of the same name), Lantern throws in the bells sample from ACDC's HELLS BELLS. I also wished Lantern would have done a whole track with the ALIVE acapella eventhough he threw in the chorus at the end of INTERGALACTIC. The positives definitely outweigh the negatives & hopefully he'll do a PART 2 someday. (y)

I know this is a pretty lame contribution, but I'm pretty sure that the guy in the Intro that says the line that is very similar to the chorus of Open Letter is Erick Sermon. Sorry I couldn't come up with anything more substantive.
