They're really nasty and make a big gloopy mess if you pull 'em off and step on 'em...makes you wanna gag.

It's hard to tell from the pic, but they're like the size of your pointer.

If I would call an anti-bug company that would kill the bugs, could I borrow your pool then?

I mean, I would be pretty thirsty after calling that company.

What about fire? Fire will surely kill them right? Or is fire to "army" worms like water is to gremlins?

No beating them, like cockroaches, ten times more gross, just don;t stand on them, eggs come out that way. A brilliant if not gross way for a species to survive!!!

Unbeatable.

Useless facts from Chloe #2 (c)
Actually you can get rid of them,my little brother gathers them up and uses em for fishing bait..they work well ;)

Hi, just joinned the site. I was trying to look up information on tomato worms for my english paper... yea... so much fun (dying from the excitement). Anyways, tomato worms (aka tomato horn worms... or whatever other names they've been given) aren't all that bad... well, they are when they eat your tomato plants. Yea, had fun freezing I believe three of them... but that was whil I was in entomology class 10th grade. Honestly, the moth (hawk moth/ hummingbird moth/ whatever name) they become is really cool. Made me feel bad about freezing the worms when I found out about them being that moth which I enjoyed watching a ton (found out in 12th grade). The moth they later become can easily be mistaken for a hummingbird by the way they fly around. If you thought about the possiblity of killing an insect based on it destroying your plants, but never knew that it would later be something you'd enjoy viewing... you probably wouldn't kill them anymore. Well, I need to go and work more on my lovely paper.. oh joy... Nice site by the way.

I don't think it was necessarily it's brain guts... all catterpillars and worms have squishy bodies... and quite a lot of them are very fragile. So, even just teying to pick one up with two fingers may end up with you accidentally squeexing them when you don't mean to. Better to just either use a stick or maybe a piece of cardboard or whatever to let them crawl on then remove them from the plant that way or let them crawl onto your finger (if they'll cooperate with you on that). As far as being a murderer... things like that can easily happen to those type of insects... but if you for instance froze one... then maybe murdered would be more appropriate, even if wanting to bring it in to show off in entomology class.

caterpillars are the cutest insects ever!

I must agree. :) It's always fun to come across some fuzzy looking catterpillars. :p However, catterpillars aren't the only enjoyable insects around... there's also click beetles (just pin them down gently with like a stick and yea... :), I think a few times I was able to get them to jump.. but yea... ) and then those lovely yet slightly annoying sacadas (pick them up and throw them in the air and have fun doing flying practice with them.... unless they land on your nose (kind of hurt a little) ... best to grab the female sacadas because they aren't noisey). Although, sacadas seem slightly stupid, they'll sit around at night in spots where the light is shining and you can go up to them and just pick them up... they won't go far... just sit there. :)

Oh, sorry for posting multiple times in a row... just found other things to talk about kind of.

yea i sort of kno how to beat them..it's pretty stupid and only works if you can do it right tho.

Just take some tin foil and rap it around the bottom of the tree, plant, fern, whatever they havent started eating or leaving black shit on.

you make it so that the tin foil isnt to foiled up and shit so they can go from one bent part to the next, so its like a spiral.

they have a hard time climbing them i guess.
