Do The Beastie Boys stay around after shows to talk and/or give autographs for fans?

Hey,

I'm just curious if they stick around after shows for autographs and the like, or if anyone had any previous tips. I'd love just to say hi to one of the Adam's or Mike D, of course to get something autographed would be cool too, but I'd take a simple handshake or something like that.

I've seen the Boys twice, back in 1998 for Hello Nasty, and just a few months ago for BFD here in the Bay Area. Never could stay too long after the shows. Since they're playing Bill Graham Civic Auditorium (a smaller venue), perhaps there's a chance?

Actually, I staked out the tower that Mike D and Mixmaster were spinning in during HFS 2001. They both came down afterwards, and Mike D just kinda scurried along as fast as he could with security guards around him. There were like 30 people trying to talk to him, but he left. But that's okay cuz it was like 1:00 in the morning. And I still got off a 'OMG MIKE D I <3 YOU'.

That's the feeling I got. When I saw them at the ICA, i tried to get all of their attention at some time. Got a handshake from both AdRock and MCA, but ignored by Mike D and Mix Master Mike.

Maybe it's somthing to do with being called Mike!?

im sure that given the chance, they would be more than gracious to speak to any one of us for a few moments.... they just arent able to go out and meet people, it would be a scene that although for the few of us, whom could be respectful and enjoy a shared moment with out heroes....would most likely not go over well.
