Just because people like the Beastie Boys doesn't mean they don't like Bush. Kerry isn't any better!

be mackin is right Kerry is a flip-flop and a liar as well. Bush is a complete idiot but he hasa team of very responsible men working with him. People forget 911 this is the first time the American mainland has been attacked since the English burnded down the white house in the 1800s. What the hell is supposed to do. Its better to have a known devil than to elect an unknown angel. This Kerry guy supported the War in Iraq and the voted against funding our troops. What kind of man does something like that. I agree Bush sucks. However Jon Kerry is not the answer. I like America and I don't want to become a socialist state and give our power back. We need to stand tall and flex our muscle that how you stay on top of the game. Unfortunately the democratic party by definition is as close to becoming Socialist as Karl Marx, Fuck that. I am the biggest B-Boy fan I know, Yet they need to realize that they would not have made the $$$$ with this oppurtunity of music in some Democratic Socialist State. I like capatilism thats why I am going to school. To make as much $$$$ possible.

Take a few minutes Yosemite and review some prior posts regarding this socialist versus capitalist Bush versus kerry argument. It's covered at nausea, but I'll think you'll find there is MUCH more to it than what you are saying here.
This election is about what is doing the right thing for your fellow HUMAN brothers and sisters, not about how much money you can make by voting for the capitalist. My god man try to be a little less selfish, that is what is wrong this country. Oh and before you post in a serious forum filled with people who share the same ideals as the Beastie Boys do a little research and at least be correct on something you say other than you know Bush is an idiot but....

They're out in full force (http://us.news2.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/p/ap/20040829/capt.nygb10208291751.cvn_protests_nygb102.jpg)

Of course you'll have to watch CSPAN since the corporate media is trying their best to ignore it.

If you do that, make sure you're in a designated free speech zone first. You wouldn't want to be charged with terrism.

Yosemite, I see you've been hearing the attack ads against Kerry. Being called a "flip-flopper". Here's the real deal.

He has changed his mind in the past, when he has realized that it is the wrong answer. The Republicans take what he has said 10 years ago, and pinned it against what he has said now. Kerry is seen as a "flip-flopper" because he's not a stubborn jackass. If he sees that his position is the wrong one, or has realized in the post-9/11 world that his ideas will not work, he has changed his view. I see that as a sign of strength, not of weakness. More power to the man who can see right from wrong, and make an informed decision. I believe that someone who stands in front of the crowd and still says there are WMD's in Iraq when it's been PROVEN there are not does NOT show strength, it shows stupidity, pigheadedness, and stubbornness. Not only that, Bush has flip-flopped in a very short time span. For example, first he opposed the 9/11 commission to be formed; he spoke out against it and refused to testify, or let Condi testify. Literally, a month later, he says he embraces the 9/11 commission, and is letting Condi testify. That's just one example of many (http://www.americanprogress.org/site/pp.asp?c=biJRJ8OVF&b=42263).

As for John Kerry voting for the war, and against "the body armor", that is false. He voted against the $87 billion dollars that Bush wanted for Iraq, and supported a similar bill instead. He didn't agree with the way the war was going in Iraq, and voted against the $87 billion to make a stand against the way things are being run. That $87 was an insane amount, some of which went to the troops, but majority went to cleaning up the shit that Bush messed up. However, you'll see the Republican smear machine saying that that $87 billion just went to armor, which is not true. He fully wants to fund our troops, but does not want to support Bush's retarded bill.

How's that, D_Raay? ;)

Edited:
What about the first Trade Center bombing?

What the hell is supposed to do. Its better to have a known devil than to
elect an unknown angel.

What? How is that?
Seems like any angel would be better than a devil?
No?
I'm not very religious, so forgive me if I don't understand the angel/devil heirarchy.

I like America and I don't want to become a socialist state and give our power back. We need to stand tall and flex our muscle that how you stay on top of the game.

Stand tall, flex your muscle, and take the power back.
Don't vote for the people that passed the Patriot Act.

I am the biggest B-Boy fan I know............

Almost every time I see this statement I know a bunch of extremist conservative cow poop is somewhere nearby. And if one actually thinks about what the Beasties are truly about, I somehow doubt an extremist conservative could truly be one of their fans.

I like capatilism thats why I am going to school. To make as much $$$$ possible.

This quote speaks volumes........short-term & rather shallow volumes to be more precise.

BTW Sam, I suggest paying better attention in your English class because shitty spelling really lessens the believability of a post.

FYI: simply repeating what one hears on TV or reads on a website without doing your own research on that material can result in that person looking like a fool. In other words, don't let others do your thinking for you.

Well put my friend. I love the B-Boys but that's as far as it goes. Being a Beastie fan does not automatically equate to being anti-Bush

HEY! IF YOU LISTEN TO MUSIC, YOU HAVE TO AGREE WITH WHAT THEY ARE SAYING, OTHERWISE WHY WOULD YOU LISTEN TO THEM? IN 1986 THE BEASTIES RAPPED ABOUT SMOKING DUST AND POURING HONEY ON GIRLS AND ANYONE WHO LISTENED TO THEM THEN SHOULD HAVE DONE THE SAME THING. IF YOU LISTEN TO THE BEASTIE BOYS NOW, YOU HAVE TO AGREE WITH WHAT THEY ARE SAYING, OTHERWISE YOU ARE A HYPOCRITE. HOW DARE YOU HAVE YOUR SEPARATE OPINIONS FROM THAT OF YOUR FAVORITE BAND. THAT'S SO UN-AMERICAN!

This isn't my sign (http://www.apartment5d.com/images/aug29.jpg) but it's pretty much how I feel about the RNC being here. And I don't mention this a lot, but I was at the WTC that morning (not in the towers but close enough, thank you).

Front page of the Los Angeles Times (apparently a super lefty JFK commie pinko rag) has a large photo and article of the protesters. Its hot. Right on.

I don't like the Beastie Boys music nor do I like Bush.
