Ok guys, I have have had this remix done for a long time and I really don't know why I didn't release it sooner. Anyway, all the parts were written and programmed by me. It only contains one sample and that is the snare hit. The scratching in the bridge is courtesy of Sir SkratchaLot. So let me know what you think.

It sounded like the knight rider theme at first....i liked the freestyle scratching before Adrock's verse...Average. Needs a bit more bite.
Always good to see people making an effort though!

Simple but effective. At first I was thinking it was too simple, but as the song went along I realized that the minimalist approach actually works just fine here. Nice work.

It's a little too simple for my liking. It's a good start though.
There just needs to be more.

Yeah, this is how I felt about it. Nick did a lot of subtle stuff in there, where it sounds simple at first but when you listen more, you notice more. Plus, electro sounds and scratching just go good together.

Well the way I see it. So many remixes and even original songs are simple. The Just blaze remix was just a few samples. And the original Ch-Check It Out was only two drum beats and one hit.

True in some cases.
Remember Bentley Rhythm Aces remix of the not so busy Alive? That went the other way...Hectic ! :) I still love that mix.

Oh, I am not throwing out "busy" remixes. I am just saying that many of the remixes on this board can be written off as plain or boring, although they include just as much talent as some official releases.

Sorry, I knew you were not having a go. I just thought I'd mention that mix because it was quite simply amazing - you just triggered that by mentioning lightness in mixes. :)

I know what you're saying.. I listened to some of the mixes by Green Lantern and I didn't feel they were up to much... although some where very cool... some didn't do it for me.
