What's happening y'all, I'm here to present my newest project: "Hey Ladies (Velcro Buddha Remix)". I tried to make it sound as "Paul's Boutique-ish" as I could, thus I did a whole lot of vinyl-sampling. I was aiming for a much lighter, happier feel than my last "Shake Your Rump Or Else!!!" remix. Anywho, the link is below, let me know what'cha think. Take care.

Oh yeah, BTW, I know that I left out the final verse, so there's no need to tell me. I have a few other projects going that I'm tryin' to get done and I didn't feel like workin' out a whole 'nother verse for this one.

Quality mash.
Nice stereo image. I felt the flutey pipes crowded the mix a little when they dropped. Other than that... I gotta say this is probably one of the best mixes I've heard here (y) (y)

oh word.

I had that same feeling about the pipes myself when I laid them down, but I liked them too much to leave them out. Despite making the mix a little crowded, I think that it needed some kind of "variable" to keep from sounding to repetitive. I'll probly end up turning them down in the end. It's all a matter of taste, though. Thanks for the feedback y'all.

Haven't had a chance to listen to this yet. Just wanted to say that something I do sometimes when a something needs to be toned down in a mix is adjust the eq. If you got a good multi band eq use that. Sometimes just subtle changes in the mids and highs can make a big difference.

I started tweaking the EQ on the flute synth earlier today and it seemed to help the track out a lot. I had to tone down the highs a bit and boost the mids, and it really helped. Thanx again for the tip. I always seem to forget to hit up the EQ before bouncing my final mix to disk. Oh well, thanks Erik.

God, thanks McDuff. You're one of the few remixers on this site who throws hip-hop behind their remixes and I really appreciate it. Great as always.

This remix stands out from all the other Hey Ladies remixes, its more laid back and soothing which is odd for a Hey Ladies remix, but you did it. Nice variations with the beats and that flute sample was a nice addition. Very nicely done. (y)
