The Beasties are only playing one Canadian show,
That sucks
and not to mention that it is in British Columbia, all the way on the other side of the country from where iam.

Whats up with that?

Yes, but Niagra Falls is just on the boarder. Just go down to the nearest American venue. I guess Vancouver people could go down to Seattle but it's like 3 hours to drive and then after the show you would probably have to stay over night.

I think its lame. We are USA's neighbours, is it that much of a chore to come up north and perform for Canada? I dont think so. But, as mentioned, we canucks should be pateint and nto get pissy just yet. Im hoping they go to montreal i may be able to go to that one

Its actually a big hastle just to come up here(canada). Artists and bands have to pay many fees and other stuff and it just takes too much time especially when they gotta bring all that gear. Thats why on most tour dates...usually it's toronto, montreal, and vancouver.

I dunno, my theory is that because they went to the MMVA's in Toronto, they wanted to spread the love over to the west coast. Just a thought

My theory is the weed in Toronto is way too strong so they're scurrrd!

(Ya I know the best weed comes from BC... but I'm saying Tdot's weed is much better than that Mexican shit they smoke in the states... sheesh... it's just a theory)

I go up to Mtl every year for the kick-ass jazz festival, your weed is the same shit as ours my friend, not as good as BC but kicks the shit out of that weird, leafy, brownish stuff that passes for weed in the good ol' DEA-monitored US of A.

I can't speak for the rest of Canada, but in the east.... the reason Beasties probably dont come here is cause..well... no promoters want to take the chance.

they took the chance on 50 cent (who cost over 100 grand to bring) and only had like 30 ppl show up (i wasn't one of them present thats for sure)
Canadian promotors can be wierd sometimes.

Looks like im going to have to hit the U.S. just to see this tour. Canada just isn't ready... after all these years.

Yeah a local radio station is presenting them in Vancouver, if they aren't coming to your area chances are there is no one willing to help fund the show.

I don't believe that. They haven't announced any mid west shows or anything in eastern Canada yet. If they haven't announced Detroit or Chicago I think it will all be announced soon and Toronto will be one of them. Southern and central Ontario is very populated. Just be patient :) They're not going to miss out on an area like Toronto or Detroit. They would be crazy to miss out on the money they would make there.

Canada is a dangerous place. If something goes wrong, it'll take those cops on horses like a week to get there to help! Besides BC bud is commercial crap. No offense intended.

J/K bout Canada. I hope you get more dates. It's a cool country.

(I wasn't kidding about the BC bud though. Enough of that, please!) Stop sending it over. Damn.

Ditto on the BC Bud....that shit is crap...makes some mexi look good...those who know, know what im talking bout

HN Montreal Show was SICK!!!! lots of younger kids who barely knew the music. i just blazed right through them right up to the front...no problems. your really think they wont play Tor/Mont....please! The tour is just unfolding and patience is a virtue known by few. Christ, i'm from Portland (ME) and making my way to NYC for the 9th.....got to do it

Memo to Canadians: tell you govt. to flush the hydro now and then, and mix in another strain or two. Even the shwag smokers are on to that shit.

Oh word? That would be a dream come true! Although I find that hard to believe that the Beasties are thinking of having a show in Ottawa, considering we usually get skipped in favour of Toronto, Montreal, or both :( . Then again, since Ottawa is located between Toronto and Montreal, maybe the Beasties are thinking the Ottawa show will draw people from all 3 cities (3 birds with one stone, so to speak). That is of course, if they plan on having only one show on the east coast (since there's currently only one show planned on the Canadian west coast). Rest assured, there is a LARGE Beastie fan base from Eastern Quebec to Southern Ontario. No doubt, we will represent hard if the boys decide to come to Ottawa (y).

It's about time the west gets sum respect.

Nova Scotia here as well...

If Run-DMC could play Halifax in 92, then the Beasties sure as hell can play here in 2005 ....we just need a promoter that knows what time it is to bring them.

this was posted by HOLZ

first of all, i don't know if anyone has posted this, so please forgive me if this is a repeat.

i just got back from the universal show (it rocked), and as i was looking at the t-shirts, i noticed one shirt in particular had all of the cities listed! so.... in addition to the dates already announced, the following were on the tour shirt.

long island
madison
chicago
detroit
toronto
montreal
ottawa

i'm pretty sure that was it. i'll be at long beach tomorrow, so i'll double check again. by the way, this is only from the t-shirt, so i would think it's pretty accurate?
