Long time, no mix. But not today. No sir. I made this one in 10 minutes, and I happen to like it.

Yesterday I bought The Cure's "Galore: Singles 1987-1997." There was some "remix" of "Close To Me," and I wanted to mess with it.

This is one of my fairly monotonous mixes, folks. Cure+ Sure shot.

In addition to those, I added three seconds of scratching from "3 MC's and One DJ [live video version]."

Here it is. I just needed to do something before attending tonite's Beastie show. Wish me luck!

I'll take that as a "Match the beats with lyrics, Spanishbomb."

Sorry mate, but it takes more to call a tune a mashup then to stick an acapella over an instrumental.

The problem is that
a) these tracks don't blend
b) there is no structure in your mix

Very nice idea, but it doesn't work.

The Bloodhound Gang tried to use this beat on their first full-length album: Use Your Fingers for the song "She Ain't Got No Legs"

The Cure did not let clear the sample though so they had to re-create some of the sounds using horns and such.

Just wanted to share.

Even though this thing blows, I figure someone can do something amusing with it. Remember how Skrilla tranformed my "Cruel Cruel Trouble" idea into something worthy enough of going onto that CD?

I smell a challenge. Or not. It's just that I relistened to this and thought it might actually be plausible to improve upon it...
