Hey, I just wanted to post this in the hopes that the band might see it-I haven't figured out another way to contact them. My whole reason for coming to this site is because my friend (a huge Le Tigre fan) told me that the Beastie Boys released an apology to women for the lyrics in the past that were offensive to women. I wanted you guys to know how much I appreciate that! I have been a big fan of you guys since high school-I'm 29, but I do remember being a young girl and hating some of your songs and videos because of your objectification of women. When you're a little kid stuff like that makes you feel rather naked, and then angry. But I want you to know that your apology means something and it does have an impact-on women and, perhaps more importantly, on men. Props, guys, seriously.
