I'm going with Hunky Dory, then....which is still pretty typical.

I'd like to add, that his last two albums are actually quite good, unlike the garbage he released between the mid 80's-mid 90's

I wouldn't call Let's Dance garbage at all. I think he made his point. Also, that was some of the best pop music of the 80's.

yeah, Let's Dance had a couple of classic singles, and was pretty good overall, but it wasn't great... and after that, eghhh (excluding the occasional single, like Absolute Beginners)
