Late Review on the show as I went to Vegas the morning after the show and just got back yesterday, what a way to start a trip!

Dog show -

Decent time killer, just kind of odd i guess. It was what it was.

Twalib, Talib - whoever he was, he actually was decent, he could flow a mean rhyme, thought he did a good job for just him and his DJ. Crowd was mildly receptive. Might look to pick up an album.

Venue -

Can’t say enough about Red Rocks, we got there early enough to enjoy some tailgating before the show. It was a perfectly beautiful evening. Red Rocks is an outdoor "natural" amphitheater for those not familiar Two large Redstones make up the sides of the place. No real seats as there is about a 2ft slab of cement and with a 10in bench on the end of it, and they go down a fairly steep slope. Very front of the seats as well as the very back are GA and in between are reserved.

Side note on security - always seems to be pretty lax there, which generally is good you dont want to feel like you are at the republican convention or anything, but when people get stupid drunk or want to "share" your seat there is usually not a lot of help.

Crowd - Thankfully I was not around a bunch of stupid frat boys. All was well in row 38. I had not seen a crowd into a show that much in many years. Lots of singing and a general dancing good time. And a full variety of ages, I saw old guys like me (mid 30's) to I think some kids with their parents.

Sound - Well I learned that I am half deaf in my left ear from too many years of BASS and Rock and Roll !! I was askin my buddies if it sounded kind of weak and they said a little but it was mostly me. However the instrumental portion especially at the end did sound a little weak, it was not traveling very well and Sabotage was kind of in and out.

Choice of Songs / Time -

Just wished there would have been more stuff of TT5B, but you could not ask for more as far as variety. Paul Revere was definitely fun. Something has to give was a great song; it really just let the night groove. "Why fight yourself!"

They had like 2 encores and played what was it, 28 songs. Someone posted they played like 1 15 min but they must of been hittin the whisky kind of hard cuz they played a solid 2hrs. They mixed it up going into the crowd that was cool.

MMM -

My friggin hat off to that man, I have never given him the credit he deserved or paid enough attention. Man he was diggin in those crates and scratchin like a fierce MF'r. He was droppin some dope as beats on some of them songs. They had him stop (cant remember the song right at the moment) and bring that shit back, it was a tough beat and we were all groovin.

Stage/Misc.

They had these 3 or 4 sweet Video Monitors (10x10 ft aprox maybe bigger) that moved around the stage either playing misc video or showing the boys it was pretty cool. They would come together or turn into these vertical lines and flash some "vegas" looking colors.

They had a little separate stage that rolled out that had the instruments on it, and on the first set they were dressed in powder blue tuxes it was funny and there were some lounge lights on this mini stage. The 2nd time it came out they had taken down the lights and didnt have tuxes on.

As far as these guys playing with them I only recall the percussionist was a fairly large African-American gentleman with a HUGE frow.

The Boys -
What can you say; they are getting it done in their 4 decade. Barely a few lyrical faux paux's, I thought they were right on and I liked their energy. Not a lot of political talk (I think unfortunately) but they were promoting you to register and vote (which you should !).

Overall I would say B+. There is something in it for all fans. Be kind to your fellow Bboys and girls, you gottsa chill, and have a good time.

Now I am the jealous one cuz my show is over and your is ready to begin !
